H.P. TouchPad 3.0.4 Tidings Now Unclaimed, Adds non-webOS Telephone Pairing

HP just let America know that the TouchPad, its lately discontinued tablet with an unknown future, is getting another software update completed the flying today. Book 3.0.4 of the TouchPad’s webOS brings near it a clean camera app (the TouchPad originally launched without a camera app) and the ability to pair the tablet with non-webOS phones.

After a Bluetooth pairing process you should now be able to answer calls through your TouchPad. In our TouchPad review we applauded this side tho` wager on then it only worked with webOS phones like the H.P. Veer. Extending the functionality to more devices was an obvious step, only one we weren’t confident would happen given the platform’s uncertain future.

HP is also nascent performance and UI improvements with today’s update.

The ‘driver’ of the system is AN ultra-sonic generator that compresses helium. Mount & Jerry’s ice cream has developed such a ‘dream machine’

Re: Heatsink fan runs in Passive System Cooling policy (Thinkvantage Power Manager 3.62)

In passive mode the threshold temperature for when fan kicks in is increased, so fan would spin up to the max speed only when it reaches a higher temperature. But the fan will still kick in.

When you put back the heatsink, make sure the thermal paste is applied properly, not too much just enough to have a thin layer on the CPU.
